So...I just graduated less than a week ago. Normally, that would be very exciting, freeing, and whatnot. An object of optimism. Not my graduation.
At my graduation, as my principal was handing out diplomas, the wind reached it's peak and forced all the students and parents to flee to the gym. Of course, at first, this was Funny, a nice story to tell later. At least, until my principal announced that those of us who had received our diplomas should take off our gowns, return them, and leave.
I broke down. All I wanted from graduation was to walk to Pomp and Circumstance, sing my Alma Mater, and throw my cap in the air. Well,I didn't get my Alma Mater or to throw my cap. I didn't get to take pictures with my friends and family in my cap and gown or congratate my friends and fellow graduates. My graduation ended with a thunderstorm and running out of the gym. I cried so hard that I freaked my best friend out when I started hyperventilating. That is the most disappointed I have ever been in my life. Erik says that I'll laugh about it one day, but as of right now, I am severely disappointed and upset that my graduation was completely ruined.
Since that's my pessimism, my optimism should be that my family and friends rallied together and made the days after graduation amazing and a ton of fun. They really helped to make up for how awful my graduation ended up being. So if any of them read this, thank you guys SOOOOOO much for everything y'all did to make my days after graduation fantastic :). I love you guys :).
Congrats to the class of 2011!!!

P.S: I love The Nanny :).
